I’ve had to stop worrying about making money in favor of making time. Whatever it is you do, you need to work smarter not harder to have the time which will allow you to make money.
Since I started investing in gold in 2006 there has been plenty of talk about the price of the precious metal and what it is going to do. Gold can make you money even when you aren’t paying attention to it. That aspect of gold makes it attractive to me.
Commodities such as gold were vital to the plot of one of my favorite movies, Trading Places. None of the physical commodities are the most valuable one there is. Gordon Gekko in Wall Street says the most valuable commodity is information. I think the most valuable commodity is time, not information.
Time is what allows you to find out information, if you don’t waste time.
I’ll be the first to admit I’ve wasted time like it was free and need to work on that. I write a lot every day between my articles and Twitter and get feedback, some of it is positive, some of it is critical…but most of it is just trolling. It might take a daily reminder, but it is really is best to ignore the trolls and not devote any of your life force to dealing with them.
When it comes to writing, spending the time is worth it.
I only hope this late night rambling was worth your time, because being worth your time is what writing is about for me.
